Why is the Game Text and Turn based

Why base a game on turns and text-based in this multimedia age when broadband is common enough that you can play 3-D games online?

Yes, it is possible to play the latest 3-D games online like World of Warcraft and other similar games but there is also a need to play a game without any plug-ins, without the need for flash, fancy computer and any other hardware you might need to play the latest and greatest games.

Having a game that is text-based ensures any player can play from any browser, any computer whether they are on a tablet on the beach or on a library computer.
